Episode 64: Repurposing Content | Step One Define Your Purpose & Customer

I really hope you had a wonderful start to the new year. January for me was massively busy but I am left feeling very productive and hopeful for what 2023 will bring me.

Last month, I challenged my kids to write down 2-3 new things they wanted to learn or improve about themselves in 2023. This is the first year I asked my kids to do something like this and they really had a positive response to the experience. Makes we wonder why I waited so long to introduce this practice to them.

If you haven’t made your new year’s resolutions, there is still plenty of time to do so. In fact, during the month of December, I did a entire series just on making, setting and keeping your small business marketing goals. If you missed that, check out episodes 56-59 now. For the month of February, I decided to focus on the benefits and perks of repurposing your content.

What is Content Repurposing?

Content repurposing is the process of reshaping content in order to make it more useful, effective, and engaging. It can be used to target different audiences by creating multiple versions of the same content.

Understanding who your Audience Is

Understanding who your audience is an essential part of successful marketing and advertising for any business, especially small businesses. Knowing who your target customers are will help you create content that resonates with them and make sure that it reaches the right people.

Determine Your Goals and Objectives

Once you have established who your audience is, it is now time to determine why you are creating content for them in the first place. Creating content for your small business should always start with understanding what your goals and objectives are.

Focus on Quality Content Rather Than A Lot of Content

As a small business owner, it’s important to focus on creating quality content rather than quantity. Quality content is more likely to attract and retain customers, as they will trust that your product or services are reliable and worth the cost.

Identify Opportunities for Repurposing

Small business owners can identify opportunities to repurpose content by taking a look at what type of content they have already created and shared. By understanding your audience, setting clear objectives, and repurposing content effectively, you can create compelling content that will engage your target audience and ultimately achieve your content goals.
