From Social Media Management to Empowering Entrepreneurs: My Journey to Developing the “Empower Her” Program

Hello everyone, I’m Philippa Channer, your guide through the ever-evolving world of marketing, and the voice behind the “Marketing 101 for Small Business Owners” podcast. Today, I want to take you on a personal journey—a behind-the-scenes look at my professional evolution and the creation of a program that’s very close to my heart: “Empower Her.”

The Genesis of Channer Consulting

My foray into the marketing realm began with the launch of Channer Consulting in 2020. I set out to offer social media management services, primarily to non-profit organizations. It was a time of excitement and, admittedly, a bit of trepidation. The teachings of marketing expert Latasha James were a beacon for me, guiding me through the tumultuous first year, which was compounded by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Pivot Towards Purpose

As I navigated the complexities of social media management, I encountered a pivotal realization: it wasn’t the perfect fit for me. This epiphany led me to pivot towards a content marketing strategy program. I recognized the critical need to align content with my clients’ organizational goals, bridging the gap between content creation and tangible organizational growth.

The Birth of “Empower Her”

The evolution of my services didn’t stop there. I developed the “Empower Her” program, a comprehensive marketing strategy and coaching service designed to empower clients to execute their marketing with confidence. This program is a tapestry woven with various elements, including the marketing model canvas, social media optimization, and a robust 12-week marketing strategy—all underscored by the coaching aspect that guides clients through the intricacies of the process.

A Focus on Female Empowerment

One aspect of the “Empower Her” program that I’m particularly proud of is its impact on my female audience. While I welcome male clients with open arms, there’s a special alignment with the coaching nature of the program that resonates profoundly with female entrepreneurs. It’s about empowering women to understand and confidently execute their marketing strategies, fostering a sense of community and support.

Looking Ahead: The Future of the Podcast

As I share my journey and stories with you, my audience, my goal remains to provide valuable insights and personal experiences. Education is at the core of what I do, and I’m excited to continue offering content on social media strategies. Stay tuned for future episodes where I’ll dive into effective social media planning, emerging social media trends, measuring social media ROI, and exploring essential business operations tools.

A Commitment to Authenticity and Transparency

Throughout this journey, my commitment to authenticity and transparency has never wavered. I’ve taken your feedback to heart, especially when it comes to promoting my services. It’s important to me that you understand not just the what, but the why behind the services I offer.

In closing, I want to express my heartfelt enthusiasm for the path I’ve taken and the programs I’ve developed. My dedication to evolving my services to best serve you, my clients and listeners, is unwavering. I’m here to guide you through the marketing maze with honesty and expertise.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to continuing our adventure together in the world of marketing.

Remember, whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, you have the power to make a significant impact with your marketing efforts. Let’s harness that power together.
