Welcome back to the Clarity to CEO podcast! I’m your host, Philippa Channer, and I hope your year is already off to a focused and intentional start. If you haven’t yet listened to Episode 213 about setting a vision you can build toward, I encourage you to start there—because this week, we’re taking that vision and turning it into a strategy.
In this episode, I’m guiding you through how to break down your 10-year dream into a set of meaningful, achievable 12-month goals. These are not surface-level intentions—this is about building real momentum, one quarter at a time.
⏱ Timestamps & Segments
(00:00) Welcome Back + Why Vision Needs a Plan
We open with a quick recap of the Clarity to CEO podcast evolution and why your long-term vision must be backed by short-term structure. I also highlight two ways to go deeper this month: the Entrepreneur Incubator and the Content Clarity Canvas Workshop.
Action Step: Revisit Episode 213 to get grounded in your 10-year vision before building this year’s plan.
(02:00) Start With the End: Reverse Engineer from 2035
Pull your 2035 Vision Statement back into focus. Ask yourself: What needs to be true by the end of 2026 to stay on track?
Action Step: Identify what skills, systems, revenue, or reach must be in place by year-end to keep you aligned with your long-term goal.
(03:00) Choose 2–3 Strategic Priorities for the Year
Trying to tackle 10 things at once leads to burnout. Pick 2–3 core outcomes that will create the biggest ripple effect in your business.
Action Step: Define your top 3 focus areas based on the impact they’ll have on your long-term vision.
(05:00) Set SMART Goals for Each Priority
Now it’s time to bring structure to your goals. Make them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
Action Step: Take each focus area and turn it into a SMART goal. For example: Grow your email list to 1,000 subscribers by October 1 through a lead magnet and consistent email strategy.
(06:30) Break the Year Into Quarterly Milestones
Annual goals feel overwhelming without a roadmap. Break the year into quarters to maintain clarity and flexibility.
Action Step: Outline milestones for Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 that support each major goal. Adjust as needed while staying aligned.
(08:00) Build Goals Into Your Calendar
Here’s the step most people skip: actually giving your goals a home on your calendar.
Action Step: Assign time on your calendar for goal-related tasks. Let your schedule reflect your priorities, not just your client work.
👋 Wrapping Up & Looking Ahead
Your goals aren’t just boxes to check—they are proof of your vision in motion. When you anchor them into your calendar and break them into quarterly plans, you move with purpose, not pressure.
Take time this week to revisit your 10-year vision, identify your top three goals for 2026, and break those into actionable steps. You’ll be amazed at how much lighter—and clearer—the year begins to feel.
