Sandy Spring, MD October 28, 2022 – Philippa Channer of Channer Consulting was selected as one of the 2022 Ambassador Award winners in the annual National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) Recognition Breakfast held at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland.
The Ambassador Award is given to selected organizations for being an employer who has demonstrated a heightened commitment in the past year to representing SEEC in the community.
SEEC is a progressive nonprofit agency providing a wide range of community support to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their chosen lives. Our goal is to become a community of excellence that honors, respects, and assists people with developmental disabilities as they direct their lives toward work, relationships, recreation, and personal development.
Philippa Channer first connected with the SEEC team at a networking event. She quickly became interested in the services that SEEC provided and how they made a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community. She quickly found ways to involve Channer Consulting in any way possible to help any of the SEEC employees she could. Channer continues to encourage other organizations to partner with SEEC to either train or hire a SEEC employee when possible.
“I so honored to have received this award from such a meaningful organization as SEEC. I only wish there were more I could do to help the organization on. I look forward to many more years of finding ways to partner with SEEC and helping them to achieve their goals.” – Philippa Channer, Content Strategist, Channer Consulting.
